“Save Our Forests” Map

Update:

We Won! More than half a million of us got involved in the campaign to Save Our Forests, and the government agreed to drop the planned sell-off.

Click here to find out more.

The government is planning a massive sell off of our national forests. They could be auctioned and fenced off, run down, logged or turned into golf courses and holiday villages. The campaign against the sell off is growing fast, over 460,000 of us have signed the petition already. Hundreds of people have downloaded posters and leaflets from the save our forests action centre to sound the alarm with groups springing up across the country to fight the forest sell off. Over 80,000 have written to their MP.

We’ve put together a quick map of some of the forests at risk. But this isn’t all of them – it’s just a snap shot of the 1000+ areas of woodland under threat by the government’s proposed sell off.

Click on the tree icons to learn more about the areas under threat and sign the save our forest petition here.
