To take part in the debate, please sign up and tell us what question you want to ask to Danny Alexander, Ed Miliband and Oliver Letwin.
As the parties' manifesto writers, they should be able to answer your challenges on any policy issue, from climate change to public services, bankers' bonuses to Trident.
Some recent questions
It looks like the TV debates between the leaders of the three main parties will be just another exercise in spin. Politicians don't want to risk being made to look stupid so close to the election, so they'll be carefully stage-managing every detail of the events.
That's why we're working with the Guardian to hold our own debate. Voters deserve open and honest engagement with the people competing for their support, so they can make a proper choice when it comes to polling day.
We're going to be on the phone with the three main parties' manifesto writers: Danny Alexander from the Lib Dems, Ed Miliband from Labour, and Oliver Letwin from the Conservatives. Talking to the people who have written the parties' campaign promises means that we'll be able to challenge them on any policy issue, not just a few narrow topics chosen in advance.
All the questions will be asked and chosen by 38 Degrees members and Guardian readers, and the debates will be streamed live on the web so we can share our thoughts about the politicians' responses online.
