Could you organise an NHS MP visit?

38 Degrees members are getting together to visit their MPs to deliver a copy of the Save our NHS petition.

The video below shows how a recent hand-in went in Sheffield Hallam - when local 38 Degrees members handed the petition in to their MP, Nick Clegg.

What's happening and why?

In our recent survey about the best tactics to use in the Save the NHS campaign, 38 Degrees members voted to organise visits to MPs. We want to let our MPs know just how many of us want to stop the government's NHS plans.

What does leading an MP visit involve?

The main thing to remember is that organising a visit to your MP is really easy! There are just a few simple steps you need to take, and people from 38 Degrees will be available to help you at every stage.

First, sign up on this page so that the 38 Degrees office knows you are organising a visit and can keep in touch
Second, you need to call your MP's office to book an appointment
Then, choose a meeting place nearby for around half an hour before the appointment, where local 38 Degrees members could get together.
Upload the details of the meeting place to the 38 Degrees website, so we can publicise them to other 38 Degrees members in your local area.
Because 38 Degrees is a non-party political organisation, if you represent a political party (for example, if you're a local councillor, or hold a position within a local party group), you shouldn't sign up to host an event.
