38 Degrees members in Leeds have decided: we need to stop the planned trolleybus network from being scrapped. 73% of us have said that we need to work together to make sure funding for the trolleybus is protected.
It was hoped that the network would provide an efficient, reliable and green transport system for Leeds, while creating jobs and boosting the economy. But despite past promises that the project would go ahead, the trolleybus network is now under threat.
If hundreds of us sign a petition to Danny Alexander, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, and Philip Hammond, Transport Minister, we can convince them to make sure the city finally gets a decent transport system.
