The MP Holiday Watch campaign is now closed, as MPs returned to Westminster on October 12th. If you would like see the results from the survey, you can click here to see the overall results, as well as specific results for your MP. 38 Degrees is continuing to campaign to make sure that MPs know that we want elected politicians who take the job seriously, instead of fiddling expenses or taking long holidays. We’re heard from many MPs who have been pleased to have the opportunity to tell their voters what really goes on over recess. Now, we’re campaigning to make sure that MPs who don’t live up to high ethical standards will have to face a fresh vote in their constituency. We’re asking Parliament to introduce a recall law, which would mean local voters could force a new vote if their MP had lied to them. All three of the party leaders are considering it: if enough of us sign up, it will pile on the pressure to really make it happen. Click here to support a recall law.
