Since the MP expenses scandal, has politics really changed for the better? Has the system been cleaned up? And have voters had any say in what needs to change? The reality is that politicians have kept control of decisions about reform, and as a result very little has changed.

The Citizens’ Convention (Ethics and Accountability) Bill would change that. If it became law, it would give ordinary voters a say in what reforms were needed to clean up politics. Parliament would be legally bound to listen to our suggestions. So things like Proportional Representation would finally get a proper hearing.
