Recently, we took action together to convince MPs that they should support an Emissions Performance Standard for power stations in the Energy Bill when they vote on it today in Parliament. It clearly worked: Joan Ruddock, a climate minister, was so worried by our campaign she took the time to write to all Labour MPs and to tell them why they shouldn’t vote for an Emissions Performance Standard. Now, we need to make sure that MPs who support the amendment don’t lose their nerve because of the briefing that Ruddock has sent around.
