Tell your MP to support changes to make it easier to become an organ donor
|
Every 11 days someone in Wales dies waiting for a transplant. Nearly 500 people in Wales have their lives on hold, waiting for a life saving call with news of a new heart, lungs, pancreas, liver or kidney. Just 27% of the Welsh population are on the organ donor register. Recently the Welsh Assembly Government announced plans that would increase this. They want Wales to become the first place in the UK to have an opt-out rather than opt-in organ donation system.
38 Degrees and the Kidney Wales Foundation have teamed up to make it quick and easy to contact your MP. Just enter your postcode to find your MP and send them a message that we want a system that makes it easier, not more difficult, to save people’s lives. UK government data provided by GovEval.
