This deal was forced through behind closed doors, with no public consultation and in less than 24 hours. It could mean big cuts to the service the BBC gives listeners and viewers. Do these cuts have anything to do with the Government’s close relationship with Rupert Murdoch?

The decision has been forced through. But we can still show MPs that we’ve noticed and it’s not popular. There are likely to be more threats to the BBC in the future – if enough of us complain now it will help make them think twice.
