MPs will only regain our trust when we know they truly answer to us.
We need new ways to hold MPs to account, and these must include a new Recall Law. If enough local voters feel their MP has let them down, they should be able to trigger a fresh vote to test whether the MP still has local support.
We therefore call on leaders and MPs of all parties to co-operate to pass a new recall law. We call on you to do this urgently.

Together we've pushed a recall law up the agenda over the last few months. In the heat of the expenses scandal, politicians made all sorts of promises to clean up politics and give voters new powers. Now's the time for us to make sure these words turn into action. Please sign the petition now and help send MPs a strong signal that we want actions not words.
Currently an MP can lie, fiddle their expenses, or get suspended from parliament, without us voters having any power to sack them. We have to wait for the next election, which could be 5 years away. A recall law would give us power to call a fresh vote if our MP lets us down.
